Mr. Granof is a Member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Washington State Bar, and the American Bar Association (ABA). He serves as Chair-Elect of the ABA Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) Dispute Resolution Committee and is Past Chair of the TIPS Professionals' Officers' and Directors' Liability and International Committees. He is a Certified Mediator from Northwestern University's School of Continuing Studies and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Mr. Aaron Schildhaus, Consultant

AARON SCHILDHAUS is President/CEO of Lawyers Assurance Worldwide LC and President/CEO of Directors and Officers International Insurance LLC. He is an international corporate and business lawyer with over forty years’ experience specializing in commercial transactions, trade, insurance and finance. He has represented major multinational corporations, as well as small and medium-sized entities, based in Europe, the US and elsewhere, with respect to transnational corporate strategy, international sales and distribution, trans-border business alliances and joint ventures, and international transactions and trade. He advises US and non-US entities on global corporate structuring, insurance and risk assessment, data protection matters, international money laundering, international anti-corruption, US export control issues, and the design and implementation of corporate compliance programs relative to these and other areas of global business concerns. He has written and lectured world-wide on these subjects and is known globally for his active role in the promotion of human rights and the just rule of law. Mr. Schildhaus was Chair of the Section of International Law of the American Bar Association (ABA International) in 2008-2009, and has received a number of awards and honors, inter alia for his work promoting cooperation among bars in different countries.

Mr. Henry Nicholls, Consultant

Henry Nicholls is highly qualified to advise insurers, insureds, brokerage firms and counsel regarding Directors and Officers (D&O), Fiduciary Liability (FL) and Professional Indemnity (PI) coverage issues and policy language worldwide, to provide expert testimony on insurance issues that arise in litigation, to serve as an arbitrator or mediator on insurance issues, to oversee the adjustment of claims (including run-off arrangements), to provide training to in-house staff on insurance issues and to oversee the audit of claims operations worldwide.

Mr. Nicholls obtained degrees in English and Physics from the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Washington. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego. He was admitted to the State Bar of Kentucky in 1984 and the State Bar of California in 1986. He is also admitted to the United States District Courts of California and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. In his 24 years of practice, Mr. Nicholls has worked primarily in the areas of insurance coverage and commercial litigation. He worked for an international insurer for eigh years in the area of executive liability claims, and was responsible for the handling of claims in excess of $100 million. Mr. Nicholls’ practice areas include coverage litigation involving property, casualty and executive liability insurance. He also handles a variety of complex commercial litigation matters, including claims under Federal and State securities laws and ERISA. Mr. Nicholls has spoken to a variety of professional organizations on insurance coverage topics, most recently in the area of directors and officers and fiduciary policies claims.

Mr. Joe Flach, Consultant

Joe Flach is the Founder and Lead Consultant for Safe Harbor Consulting, LLC, a consultancy specializing in Crisis Management, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning. Joe has years of experience working in corporate enterprises and performing as a consultant across a wide variety of industries utilizing various technologies. Joe has assisted many organizations in the planning, training and practicing of crisis management response, contingency operations and recovery solutions. Joe has also been directly involved in assisting a number of organizations in actual response and recovery efforts as well as in conducting after-the-fact evaluations to ensure program improvements are implemented based on lessons learned from real events.

Joe is an accomplished author and public speaker in the fields of Crisis Management, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery. He has presented and conducted training around the globe and has been published and/or featured in noted publications such as, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, TheStreet.com and others.

Mr. Scott Garney, Consultant

Scott Garney is a 20 year Insurance professional with experience in professional lines Directors and Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary, Bond, Crime and Errors & Omissions.

Scott is highly qualified to advise insurers, insured’s, brokerage firms and counsel on policy language and financial issues and to provide such expert testimony that may arise in litigation. He is also qualified to advise and provide training on claim trends and underwriting for insurers.

He has worked at Chubb Insurance, Great American and Travelers. At Chubb he was an Executive Underwriter and a Vice President where he oversaw a book over $100mm. He was an Underwriter and Actuary Analyst at Great American. He was a Managing Director at Travelers Insurance.

During his underwriting career, he has insured and paid claims on Publicly Traded Companies and Financial Institutions. He was responsible for training underwriters and has taught continuing education classes to insurance brokers and agents on underwriting issues. He has also written many manuscript endorsements, helped launch new products and represented his company in legal matters. He has used his statistical skills to manage his companies’ portfolio of risks and create successful underwriting strategies over the years.

Scott is a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder and is active in the Chicago CFA society including the book club. He earned his undergraduate degree in Economics at the University of Iowa. He earned his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
